A great education doesn't end at the school door. I’ll work to build genuine, community- rooted pathways to postsecondary and career readiness programming so that students graduate with a clear path forward.

These pathways will reflect the diversity of ambition of Chicago’s families–from college to a trade to a career.

I’ll work collaboratively with community partners to expand and create new out of class and summer learning opportunities that keep students engaged in learning and development year-round. I’ll partner with the district and local colleges and universities to champion a homegrown teacher pipeline program. By focusing on establishing pathways for current CPS students and local university students to become the next generation of educators, the district will have a pool of teachers ready to teach  in the very communities where they learned and were raised in.
